Authentic Puglia: the Way in the heart of the Mediterranean

You don't visit Puglia. You travel through it.

I realised this over time.

Puglia is not a destination to be consumed in a few days. It is a journey through the Mediterranean. A land suspended between East and West, where every stone tells a story and every port holds encounters.

To cross it means to listen to it. And, ultimately, to listen to yourself.

How My Authentic Puglia came about

Puglia Autentica did not start out as a tourism project.
It started out as a perspective.

Over the years, I have travelled across this land for work, for passion, for curiosity. I have watched processions move in the silence of dawn, listened to stories in town squares, and seen the light change the face of Romanesque cathedrals.

I realised that true heritage is not only found in monuments. It is found in repeated gestures. In sounds. In shared memories.

That's where my journey began.

A territory that tells a story

From Gargano to Salento, from Grecìa Salentina to Taranto, from coastal towns to inland villages, I have learned to see connections.

Not fragments. Not postcards. But a living cultural ecosystem.

The Easter processions, the patron saint festivals of the Patrons of Puglia, Christmas, the ancient paths, the farmhouses among the olive trees, the trulli, the castles, the Lecce Baroque. Everything interacts in a Mediterranean narrative that continues to evolve.

I just listened. And then I told the story.

The Mediterranean as a source of concern

The Mediterranean is not just a sea.

It is movement. It is crossing over. It is an encounter between differences. Perhaps that is why I keep walking.

Every time I think I know this land, I discover something new that surprises me. A tradition that endures. A community that renews its rituals.

This is what Authentic Puglia is all about: a continuous quest.

This is just the beginning

I do not presume to define Puglia. I am still learning to understand it.

This is the first step in a broader story. A journey made up of places, faces, rituals, landscapes and insights that have also changed me over the years.

If you wish, you can walk with me.

The Mediterranean remains open. And the journey has only just begun.
